Hispanic Leaders in Marketing
Hello AMAzing readers!
As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, it is important to recognize why we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in the first place. This month recognizes the importance and influence of Hispanic/Latino American culture, and the impact Hispanic heritage has had on the nation’s history, journey, and achievements. We should recognize and celebrate these accomplishments all year round. Leaders like Manuel Suarez, Jessica Alba, and Eva Longoria have made significant contributions to the marketing industry and have impacted the Hispanic community tremendously. Let’s take a closer look!
Manuel Suarez
Manuel Suarez, born in Puerto Rico, is the CEO of Attention Grabbing Media (AGM) — a marketing agency that has been honored three times on the Inc. 5000 list. He is known as the “Facebook marketing ninja” with his expertise in social media advertising. Suarez has helped numerous people build their brands and has even run channels for people. AGM has successfully built millions of dollars in advertising spent for celebrities, brands, and social media influencers. He has written and published a book titled “Marketing Magic: How I produced 7 billion views, 50 million social media followers and $250,000,000 in yearly revenue without paid advertising.” The title alone shows how inspiring he is to the marketing world and for Hispanic/Latino Americans.
Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba, Mexican American, is a well-known actress and model. She is also the founder of “The Honest Company,” a personal care product company selling things such as beauty care, baby care, and skincare products. This company focuses on having safe, eco-friendly, and non-harsh chemicals in all its products, promoting a safer and healthier alternative. Alba started this company from a personal experience with her child when she realized all of the harsh chemicals in simple baby products. Her mission was to change that with not only cleaner ingredients but also with beautifully designed packaging and reasonably priced products. In the first year of launch, with only 17 products, sales were up to $10 million. With her marketing and entrepreneurial talents, she built a company from the ground up for a good cause. Now, she has shared this good cause and will continue to do so while inspiring millions.
Eva Longoria
Eva Longoria, Mexican American, is a highly accredited actress, producer, and director. Longoria is also the founder of “UnbeliEVAble Entertainment,” a film and television production company. This production company was acquired by Hyphenate Media Group, a company co-founded by Longoria. In 2017, she also launched a clothing line on her website. Other admirable facts about Longoria are her fragrance line, a home collection with JCPenney, and a New York Times best-selling cookbook, “Eva’s Kitchen.” Furthermore, Longoria partnered with “Mott’s Fruit Flavored Snacks” Snacks and Stories program, which helped give bilingual children’s books. Longoria has stated how her work ethic started when she was in High School and how she has loved to work hard and diligently ever since. She is a great example of how hard work pays off and to always keep trying at something you love. Longoria inspires people to reach their goals and try everything that they want to do. As a businesswoman, she is motivating towards the marketing world as she maintains successful companies and a pronounced public image.
