Getting that first marketing, advertising or public relations job can be challenging for recent college graduates. Many “entry level” positions require at least one to two years of relevant work experience. You may ask yourself, “how can I get experience if I can’t get that first job?” AMA University of Tampa has addressed this issue by creating a fully functional student led Marketing Agency that works with live clients on real business and marketing issues and opportunities. Every semester the Agency staffs up with students from Marketing, Ad/PR, Film, Graphic Design, and other majors to mirror a for-profit Marketing Agency in both form and function. Clients receive help with industry and consumer research, as well as search, email, and social media marketing. The Agency can work on a singular need or develop a comprehensive Marketing Plan.
